Too bad you have not looked at LD 19. It might be a wild card as well!

Nice summary. There's a minor problem, though: while you briefly define the single shot strategy in a footnote, you say "(pick two)" for the House races. That is not a requirement, it's just a capability. I think it should say something like "(pick up to two)." The single shot request for voters often includes a comment like "you don't have to vote for two" and "just vote for [preferred candidate name]." Just a thought.

Thank you for this analysis. It it well researched. I wish more news outlets would focus on local elections so people knew who they are voting for. The over emphasis on national candidates discourages engagement with the state policymakers that will have the major impact on AZ.

Thanks highlighting the arguably TERRIBLE decision by AZDems to single shot these districts. The decsisin was made purely on retrospective analysis, ignoring the possible effect of Roe being overturned, even though Alito’s memo had by then been released.

We could and should have contested for the majority in the House. Teran made an unwise decision that denied voters a meaningful choice on control of the AZHouse this year. She should not be returned to the Chair if she seeks it.

We have covered all the legislative candidates and races closely at BlogForArizona.net, and invite those looking for more information on these vital races to visit.

Just a correction on LD17. All of Marana, a town of over 50,000 is in 17. Also a note of interest,In addition to the listed qualifications for Dana Allmond, she is also a mother of triplets and a cancer survivor!
