I always wondered how they intended to sum up the individual counts from the many required volunteers - abacus (abacuses or abacusi)? Or is that too much of a machine? Still, watching that "Best moments" video, I mostly felt sorry for those people. It is as if they fell for a scam perpetrated by telemarketers, and now are not willing to admit it was a scam, despite the emptying of their bank accounts.
I'm hoping "finger-counting" doesn't prompt a sub-movement to ban the use of paper from the counting process. After all, we know some are already concerned about those bamboo fibers. They could fly in already-hash-marked tally sheets!

My inner punk rocker/contrarian looks at these finger counting/machine counting Truths as;
1). Finger counts are inaccurate.
2). Highly accurate machine counts are verified by finger count audit.
3). Machine counts therefore are only highly accurate if results differ from inaccurate finger count verification.
