The City of Surprise knows all about the rip off of Native Peoples and others. The city discovered over 50 unlicensed sober living homes operating in local neighborhoods. Neighbors complained and city folks got busy. They discovered these homes were overcrowded, had little or no medical or rehab services, and were nothing more than scams. Native Peoples are targeted because the State pays more for their rehab. Local ordinances have been put in place and the scammers have moved to another unaware city. I am told there are even YouTube videos that show you the business model. Despicable!
If the thinking is that open primaries helps GOP moderates beat MAGA candidates in the primaries, shouldn't Dems be opposed to open primaries out of fear of facing moderate GOP candidates in the general? I like the open primary idea in theory, but I'm concerned that Dems will somehow give up our meager gains as it actually plays out.
