I guess GCU realized that no one was falling for their “But, I’m a legit college, no, really” shtick and figured it didn’t hurt to fly their crazy banana pants flag high. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Looks like Chollie Quirk don't need ASU. His dream line-up will be at the Convention Center. Anybody have some spare Strontium-90?

I disagree that Hobbs & the Democrats looked foolish in the last budget fight, for the AZ Freedom Caucus would have been content to have no budget and have the state shut down. In short, negotiations with an extremist group--who will happily pull the pin on a grenade and kill everyone, including themselves--are bound to fail.

Pima County Interfaith and other groups predicted the budget shortfall outlined in today's Arizona Agenda when the AZ Supreme Court declared that citizens cannot vote on "budget items" through the initiative process, and called the initiative to have citizens have their say about the flat tax in the voting booth a "budget" initiative. Collecting signatures for the flat tax budget initiative was pretty easy as regular folks saw how the flat tax benefits wealthy people, not average Arizonans. Of course, revenues would go down, and at about the same time as federal Covid relief funds went away. Then our legislature added unfettered school vouchers to the process. Their shortsighted promotion of tax breaks for the wealthy will cause great hardships for Arizonans through continued underfunding of public schools and other state agencies. Remember that when driving on crummy roads, waiting for help from DPS, spending hours getting a driver's license or any number of state services we all count on.

I don't believe in hell, but if I did, it would look a lot like the speaker list from the America Fest event.

Well this so-called unbiased newsletter covering AZ politics is now as Lefty as the Atlantic or any other lamestream publication. By denigrating the speakers at Turning Point's event thusly " promises to gather some of the worst people from various dark corners of the internet and put them all together in real life in downtown Phoenix this weekend, " shouts the obvious bias. Pathetic. I bet if Tlalib, AOC, Pressly and Bernie Sanders the Agenda would be lauding "speaking truth to power" platitudes. Don't be fooled readers, this is Herbert Marcuse country.
