The rabid hatred some GOP members of the legislature have towards light rail is fascinating -- Phoenix's light rail ridership is pretty much middle of the pack in the US no matter how you slice it: out of 40 systems listed in Wikipedia, based on 2019 data it's 14th in terms of gross ridership, 16th in ridership per track mile.
I've been a donor to the game and fish department for years, helping fund thier water program. They cancelled all recurring donations a few months back and haven't yet set up a new donation portal.
Seems like an unforced error that could've saved them a lot of money if they had just kept their old donation portal. Wonder how much money they've lost from that.
Regarding the conspiracy tweet on Phoenix temperatures I was in Paradise Valley two weeks ago for the weekend and entered that location on my phone and it was 115 with a low of 91 a few degrees difference from Phoenix no conspiracy here!
I'm glad to see Rachel Alexander in the What We're Laughing At, but I certainly hope you don't cite her for any other purpose than poking fun at her...
Hello, Your publication is so good I feel guilty when I don't read it daily. Congrats on a concise, meaty, informative and fun read. Job well done.

Lol I was wondering why they were so vehemently opposed to it and this explanation makes too much sense for it to be anything else

What that’s wild I’m gonna ask them about it

I see it did not hit 115 yesterday. I swear, I could tell it was not as hot as usual. My july electric bill will be a horror story.
