Congratulations on getting close to sustainability! As a seasoned armchair quarterback, I love your newsletter. I dont really know anyone as interested in AZ politics as myself but I'd be happy to cover an additional subscription if you have a list of people/groups/schools who want one.

The newsletter is a must read for those of us who care about AZ politics but don’t have the time to plough through multiple outlets and social media sites to figure out what is happening.

So you're taking a break just when Sinema decides she's not getting enough attention? Coincidence? I think not!

And when I turn off my ringer, that's when the calls come! You take a much-deserved break, and Sinema leaves the Democratic Party! I guess she was tired of not being the center of attention this season.

Very few writers make me stop in the middle of my first read, rethink an issue, read your stuff again (at least once more) and adapt to the new information or insight. You two do it at least once every week. Marvelous stuff. Thank you . . . I fully respect the chances you took. Thank you, again.

Would you please explain in 2023 how Sinema is now worth $11 million dollars?

Your transparency about the ins & outs and ups & downs of your experiences with this admirable venture is commendable. Also, you guys do chatty engagement beautifully! Enjoy your well-earned and -deserved break.

A subject thought for 2023... Georgia on my mind. Given all of the intense scrutiny, criticism and vile harassment of Raffensperger's tenure as Georgia's top elections official, my perspective is that he and his staff have performed exceptionally well. The Georgia electorate seems to think so, too. Recall the thumping of his Trump-endorsed challenger, Jody Hice.

In the runoff, some 95% of the 3.5 million ballots cast were reported out by 0200 eastern.

That's an impressive accomplishment which Arizona election officials should SERIOUSLY strive to emulate. There's much about how Maricopa elections are administered that require a thorough evaluation and review. I hope that you and others will report and hold Hobbs and Fontes accountable in this regard.

(Sorry for this lengthy post...) I've lived in Oregon on three occasions and L-O-V-E the ALL MAIL ballot system that the state has created and successfully administers. It would be great to have a national outlet like, say, Politico, publish an in-depth piece on how this was accomplished to include the politics of it all. For myself, I'd like to see polling places go the way of the horse & buggy. It's time and the tech is there. (It certainly isn't hampering the GOP in Florida.) Finally, to the best of my knowledge, Oregon voters are not subjected to armed masked Militia Monkey "Patriots" out & about endeavoring to "protect democracy" and otherwise defending "election integrity." arf! arf! arf!

Love the journalism and look forward to coverage of the dysfunctional Legislature in January. Recently returned to Az from WA and knew that politics here was going to make me nuts, but finding your newsletter has been very helpful. Keep up the good work!
