Kudos to you both. You fill an important gap in local news coverage. May you grow to 10 times your current readership!

I really appreciated your first anniversary summary. You guys are excelllent journos with a fine and otherwise engaging writing style. I'm a DC transplant who retired to Tucson in 2015. Frankly if it weren't for the AZ GOP aka "the bamboo party" having lost its mind, I would not be as invested as I am in reading your excellent reporting. I already try to consume an overabundance of digital media which is necessarily limited by the amount of discretionary income I am afforded by my SSA retirement McIncome. Right now my most expensive annual subscription is $40. My next purchase will be to pay $60 to access the content behind Andrew Sullivan's paywall. THAT is my max price point for ANY content. I'm also very interested in the new kid on the digital media block,

Puck Media. But they seemingly are not prepared to come off of their $100 pricing - not even for something like a long weekend sale e.g. Labor Day. I know little about Substack from the content generators perspective. I truly hope your venture proves sustainable and can provide the financial rewards that you richly deserve. Finally, Ms Hollowell's comment is very much on point. Take care

and best wishes. Daniel Jardien du Maurier el Presidente (por vida) BHKJ&J Intergalactic Transport

P.S. If I ever get elected to state legislature, I’ll gladly sponsor that bill.

Rachel and Hank, Congratulations on a strong first year and a big Happy Birthday to the Arizona Agenda!! I am a very happy subscriber, as you keep myself and many others up to speed on all the crazy politics that is abundant here in Arizona. May your second year bring even more subscribers and stronger prosperity for the future of the Arizona Agenda and there amazing journalists/small business owners.

I'm so glad that at least for now The Agenda has a path to viability. I subscribed on a whim when you all started based on the quality of your work prior and have found they are the best local news dollars I spend. The curated list of "here's what you should probably care about today" along with the independent reporting blend is just about perfect. I subscribe to several daily newsletters and this is the only one I actually read daily.

I seem to have lost the thread to which I responded to your invitation earlier. No idea as to whether you'll see this, but here goes... just read an in-depth article about Michael Flynn by Frontline and the AP and the various election denial organizations with which he's involved to include the aggressive promotion of partisan poll watchers. I was amazed by all of the crap spewed on various social sites from far right poll watchers who had little grounded idea of what they thought they were observing. A lot of this activity occurred in Arizona. It would be great if you guys would pay close attention to this. I expect there to be much more of the same come November.

Well done you two. Without your reporting I would be clueless about Az politics, how things get done here and who can I trust to work for “the people”. I applaud the paywall. Your work is worth the subscription so free loaders, PAY UP!
